Promoting sustainable vehicles isn’t itself very sustainable. Outdoor advertising in Europe is responsible for an estimated 9,036,000 kg of C02 annually.

So to highlight the zero carbon credentials of Volkswagen’s all electric ID.3 and ID.4, we wanted to create an advert as sustainable as the vehicles themselves.

Advertising a zero carbon car without leaving a carbon footprint.

Between passing traffic, social and earned media this single billboard reached an estimated audience of 966,400 people – in a market where there are 570,000 active car buyers at any given time. So we reached a national mainstream audience without the carbon footprint of a national out-of-home campaign.
