Workplaces are a perfect storm for accidents. Lots of moving parts, on the one hand; a tendency for even the most conscientious worker’s attention to drift, on the other. “Autopilot” is a term that crops up a great deal when describing human behaviour in the workplace. TBWA Ireland took that analogy to its dramatic extreme, and drafted in the most famous autopilot of them all. We went back to the model-makers who worked on the “Airplane” films and commissioned a fresh replica of the man himself. It’s a humorous way of landing a very serious point.
